Acxiom is looking for an Associate Income Tax Analyst to prepare and complete tax returns and reports involved with income tax, including: federal, state, local, and other income tax liabilities. Responsible for meeting all required deadlines. Maintains current knowledge of all tax laws affecting the company. Reviews proposals for tax implications and recommends actions that meet the business plans while managing the tax liability. Participates in tax audits. Involved with tax implications of mergers and acquisitions or other structuring projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gathers and prepare information required for various components of tax reporting, including SEC reporting, US federal, state, and local tax returns for income tax

• Participates in the preparation and completion of assigned tax forms, returns, processes, or projects

• Participates in the preparation and analysis of various tax–related projects, such as R&D credit, accounting method changes, fixed assets, process improvements and automation, and ERP system implementation and updates

• Participates in research and interpretation of tax and/or tax accounting rules and regulations applicable to new businesses, transactions, or other new items

• Participates in tax audits, as well as financial statement audits of tax-related items

• Maintains current knowledge in tax laws and accounting rules in the applicable areas

• Additional duties and responsibilities vary depending upon area of specialization: income tax compliance, controversy, and/or planning, and income tax accounting.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or similar field,

• 0-2 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or industry

• Proficiency in key tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Detail-oriented, strong analytical, organizational and communication skills

• Team-player

Nice to have

• Big 4 experience a plus

• CPA and/or MS in Taxation

• Proficiency in tax preparation and research tools (Onesource, CCH or Checkpoint)

• Knowledge of financial ERP tools (WorkDay, SAP, etc.)
