Acxiom Business Development Sales Executive - REMOTE in United States

The Business Development Sales Executive is responsible for improving and communicating the value of the Acxiom relationship and solutions to the client’s business resulting in customer satisfaction and revenue growth to Acxiom. The BDSE is specifically assigned as new logo sales for Technology, Media, Telecom and Entertainment Industries. This position will have entrepreneurial accountability for specific sales objectives including incremental new revenue. The BDSE, through business prospecting and demand creation efforts, will uncover new opportunities, gain access to C-Level decision makers, effectively guide the client through a highly defined sales process, allocate resources, negotiate and close the sale.

What you will do:

  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities within existing clients resulting in new profitable revenue, superior client satisfaction.

  • Owns Salesforce forecasting of new opportunities and accurate sales entries.

  • Meets and exceeds TCV targets, and other sales related goals.

  • Develops and improves client relationships by providing consultation and expertise: aligning client business needs to Acxiom products, solutions and services.

  • Proactively monitors accounts and determines avenues for account growth, including new business, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Creates value and differentiates Acxiom services and products from competitors.

  • Leads or facilitates contract negotiations for new business.

  • Actively engages with Account Managers to increase the penetration of Acxiom product and services within existing clients.

  • Engages with Account Managers and Solution Managers to ensure seamless integration of overall solution.

What you will need:

  • Experience in sales.

  • Experience managing large complex accounts.

  • Experience managing multiple accounts.

  • Solution selling experience in Industry.

  • Demonstrated success closing large complex deals.

  • Experience and temperament working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

  • History calling on all levels of client organizations, including senior level executives.

  • Acxiom experience is preferred.

  • Ability to articulate and example an understanding of a comprehensive sales process.

  • Strong domain expertise in the area of demand creation, lead generation through business prospecting.

  • Fundamental understanding of technology and managed service offerings.

  • Problem solving skills

  • Business and Account Planning and Organization

  • Financial acumen

  • Conversational style and ability to ask relevant questions (Solution Selling).

  • Strong Sales Ability

  • Board Room Selling Skills and comfort at the C Level

  • Ability to map technology solutions to solve business problems or advance business goals.

  • Demonstrating resilience and creativity to gain commitments over challenging sales cycles.

  • Experience with large sales targets



  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or a minimum of 10 years of solution selling experience.


  • Expert knowledge of Acxiom’s products, services, and solutions.

  • Expert industry knowledge

  • Digital/Media experience.

  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding goals involving large, complex deals with multiple stakeholders, including multiple logos.

  • Experience in Marketing and Marketing Technologies, including data insight and analytics experience.

  • Ability to establish C-Suite level relationships.

  • Proven success in selling across multiple client lines of business.

Travel %: Ability to travel 25 to 50%
